forensic cleanup

The yellow tape goes up and the forensic team goes in to solve the crime.  Along with it goes an array of chemicals to test and search for blood, DNA, and fingerprints.  As soon as the team is finished we tear down the tape and tell the responsible party that they can return to there home or place of business.  With blood and the powerful smell of a decomposed body being the obvious items that require cleaning, we forget about the chemicals that were laid down by the forensic team.  These chemicals are often clear and can be undetected by the human eye.  Think about it, if the forensic team had to wear a Tyvec suit, gloves, eye protection, and a full respirator just to spray Luminol in search of blood.  Do you think it’s now ok for a baby to play on the floor before its properly cleaned!

That’s our point. Our company handles full cleaning of forensic materials and in most cases the home owners insurance covers the bill.  So in order to protect victims you may want to tell them of the toxicity of the chemicals used.
